About Guidito
Guidito is a small, independent guide to the landmarks and landscapes of the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Balkans and Russia. It currently covers Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria and Romania, one place at a time, with more countries coming soon. Our aim is to help curious travellers see what each country has to offer, with enough history and practical detail to plan a visit.
Independence
Guidito is not run by, funded by or affiliated with any government, tourist board or official body. The views and recommendations are our own.
How the content is made
Every description is written for this site, not copied from elsewhere. Dates, heights and other facts come from public reference sources. We do our best to get them right, but mistakes can slip in. Opening hours, prices and transport change often, so please check them before you travel, and if you spot an error, let us know.

All photographs are used under free or permissive licences, from sources such as Wikimedia Commons and Unsplash. The author, source and licence of each image are listed on the credits page.
