Privacy policy
Guidito is built to collect as little about you as possible. We have no accounts, no cookies of our own and no advertising or analytics trackers. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us through the contact form.

Who runs this site
This website is run by Guidito, an independent travel-guide project, which is responsible for the data described on this page. To reach us, use the contact page.
The contact form
If you write to us through the contact page, we receive the details you type in: your name, your email address, the topic, the page or place you mention (optional) and your message.
We use this only to read and answer your message and to correct or improve the guide. We do not sell it, share it for marketing or add you to any mailing list. We keep a message for as long as we need it to deal with your request, and we delete it on request.
Who handles your data
Messages from the contact form are passed on by Formspree, an online form service, which delivers them to our inbox. Formspree processes the form data on our behalf and has its own privacy policy, which you can read on its website.
Like any website, the server that hosts Guidito may keep technical records of visits, such as your IP address, the page requested and the time. We do not use these records to identify individual visitors.
Cookies and tracking
Guidito does not set cookies, and it does not use analytics, advertising or social-media trackers. For that reason there is no cookie banner.
Fonts and maps from other services
To display the site, your browser loads typefaces from Google Fonts. On map pages it also loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. When it does, those services receive your IP address and basic browser details, as with any web request, and they handle that data under their own privacy policies. We do not receive it.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page and mention that your request is about privacy. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and its date first.
